Chyrell Ronquillo

A multiple award-winning Filipino-Canadian singing champion, Chyrell Ronquillo has graced world-class stages including the MGM Grand Garden Arena and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, as well as the Cleveland Public Auditorium, performing to audiences of more than 10,000 people per show. She has been a trusted collaborator of Mon Torralba since the late 1990s, making her the longest-standing member of his musical circle and a vital part of his artistic journey.

Chyrell first launched her solo career with a debut concert at Toronto’s Jane Mallett Theatre, and has since released several albums, showcasing her versatility as both a singer and songwriter. She is also a Tuklas Singing champion and winner of the Shaklee Idol Conference Competition in Cleveland, Ohio in 2015, where she and Rodney Ronquillo proudly represented Canada as the only non-American act, ultimately emerging as champions before a global audience of over 10,000 attendees.

Her artistry has taken her across Canada and beyond, headlining concerts and performing alongside international artists such as David Pomeranz. Together with her husband Rodney Ronquillo, she has also sung backing vocals for legendary performers including Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez, Vice Ganda, Nonoy Zúñiga, Hanna Villame, David Pomeranz, and Morissette Amon.

Beyond the concert stage, Chyrell has made her mark internationally as a recording artist and voice talent. She has recorded on numerous albums — from her solo projects to children’s songs in Eastern Europe, many of which have amassed over 2 million views per track. She has also lent her voice to commercials across Europe, further proving her versatility.

As an actress, Chyrell has appeared in films such as “Return to Country” (2023), “Islands” (2023), and “Unwritten” (2025), as well as in acclaimed community theatre productions including Ragtime and Miss Saigon.

Chyrell’s career reflects more than technical mastery — it is defined by passion, resilience, and authenticity. Whether on stage, in the recording studio, or on screen, she continues to captivate audiences while serving as a cultural bridge between the Philippines and Canada.

Tonight, Chyrell Ronquillo brings her award-winning voice, international experience, and commanding presence to Music & Memories: A Platinum Legacy, honoring Mon Torralba’s journey while inspiring audiences as one of the brightest Filipino-Canadian artists of her generation.
